Lately my Apple Products won't connect to the WiFi about 70% of the time. This is happening on 2 different iPhones (iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8). Our Roku, Windows Laptop, etc. connect with no issue. We are on the latest firmware. Has anyone else had this issue? We've confirmed whenever friends come

I use Netgear and the extender is also by Netgear it's called the Universal WiFi Range Extender WN2000RPT. The WiFi icon just doesn't appear in the upper left of the iPhone screen. When I go to Settings > WiFi, the phone sees the network I set up. But the phone itself never displays the WiFi icon and is only connecting to the internet through the abysmal AT&T 3G network.
